Delta Dore second home · Vendée (85)

Your second home, just a phone away

I connect your holiday home: heating turned on before you arrive, shutters that follow the sun, an alarm that alerts you, with equipment from Delta Dore, a company from Brittany.

In short: your second home

  • Warm before you arrive, turned down while you're away.
  • Shutters opened and closed with the sun, even when you're far away.
  • Alarm and access managed from afar, alerts on your phone.

Arnauld, Delta Dore certified installer and local tradesman based in La Ferrière: the whole of Vendée, no subcontracting.

Day to day

A week away

  1. Sunday, 5pmYou've just left: from your phone, you switch the heating to away temperature and set the alarm.
  2. Sunday, 9pmA light left on? From your phone, you switch it off.
  3. Every dayAt sunrise and sunset, the shutters open and close on their own.
  4. Tuesday, 10amThe neighbour pops in to water the plants: they type their own code on the keypad, which you can delete afterwards.
  5. Wednesday, 3amThe alarm goes off: the siren sounds on site, your phone gets an alert, and you check on the camera what's going on.
  6. Friday, 4pmOn the road, you turn the heating back on: the house is warm when you arrive.

Just an example: it all depends on what is installed in your home.

The alarm

An alarm that alerts you

Set the alarm from your phone.

If it goes off, the siren sounds on site and the Hub Tyxal+ sends you a notification.

With the SIM card supplied (plan optional), it also sends texts or calls up to six numbers: a neighbour, a relative.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

And if it freezes while I'm away?

  • Away temperature: from 5 to 16 °C, set from the app.
  • Frost protection works as long as the heating and the power are on: the smart radiator heads don't need internet.
  • Power cut: with its 4G SIM card active, the Hub Tyxal+ alerts you even without your broadband router, and lasts up to 7 days on fresh batteries.
  • Smart radiator head batteries: up to 2 years; the smart radiator head shows when they're running low.

Can my shutters open and close on their own?

  • Yes, with the Tydom box: they open and close at sunrise and sunset, with each day's times.
  • Before the quote, I check the make and power of the motor at your home.
  • A radio receiver, wired in by me, hides behind the switch.
  • You take back control from your phone: the app shows the position of each shutter.

And if the internet is down?

  • The smart radiator heads keep their settings: they also work without a box.
  • On site, the switch still controls the shutter.
  • The alarm carries on: the siren sounds on site, and with the 4G SIM card active, the alert goes out over 4G.
  • Remote management resumes when the internet comes back.

Is there a subscription?

  • Delta Dore app, no subscription.
  • Alarm: no compulsory subscription; optional SIM card plan for texts and calls.
  • The written quote says what you pay for.

And if I can't be there for the installation?

  • Before the quote, I come round to check the installation.
  • Far away? Tell me when you first call: we'll work out together who will be there to let me in.

Does anyone go round if the alarm goes off?

  • You are alerted: the Hub sends a text or calls up to six numbers, with the 4G SIM card.
  • You decide what happens next: alert a neighbour, go yourself, or call the emergency services.
  • Remote monitoring is a paid third-party service, with its own contract.

And the lock, during the winter?

  • The lock works from 10 to 40 °C: for a house closed up for the winter, I'll look at your case with you.
  • Flat battery: a spare key with a neighbour or relative, and the door still opens with a key; the app warns you well in advance.
